Pat Kennedy finds a bad, er, misinformed lawyer

Interesting piece on Pat Kennedy’s blog — it’s a bit more than a week old, which is good because the comments add to the fun.

The basics (so I don’t steal her thunder):

Potential buyer submits offer on one of Pat’s listings. Pat informs buyer’s agent that there’s a counter-offer. Buyer’s agent demands to know the amount of that counter-offer, citing NAR "Standard of Practice 1-15."

Pat, she say, "Huh?"

Lawyer who taught this buyer’s agent’s ethics class then confirms to Pat that she has to disclose the amount of the counter-offer.

Pat, she say, "Huh?" again.

Does Pat know better? Or is the lawyer right? You’ll have to read her post and the comments to find out.
