Hot stuff from Commonwealth Online

We introduced a new design (and a new back end system) in July, and maybe that’s one reason we had one of our best opening and clicking rates yet: 21% of the people who got it, opened it; and more than 14% of them clicked on something.

For an industry e-mail newsletter, we think that’s pretty darned good.

And what, pray tell, did they click? Glad you asked.

The biggest hit, by far, was our coverage of Virginia’s new laws – both the PDF overview and the Lem Marshall/Blake Hegeman video going over them.

You were also interested in VHDA’s new site, VirginiaHousingSearch.com, where landlords and tenants can ‘meet’ and hopefully get hooked up (in the rental real estate way, of course).

The final hotspot also comes from VHDA: Many of you wanted to see what it had to say about the Homebuyer Tax Credit Plus Loan Program, which allows home buyers to use that $8,000 tax credit as part of a down payment.

We’ll keep trying to give you the links you want, and you keep telling us what works. See you next month.

  1. Interesting information. Thanks for sharing this information about your site. With all of the recent changes that have been taking place within the real estate market and regarding real estate law, I suppose these statistics aren’t too much of a surprise.
