Virginia ranks 7th in underwater mortgage holders

Could be worse, but it REALLY could be better.

Imagine 100 Virginian homeowners with mortgages. About 24 of them owe more than their homes are worth. That’s according to data from First American Home CoreLogic, published in the Wall Street Journal.

That makes us seventh worst in the country, behind Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, California, and Georgia.
