Adzookie: One way to pay the mortgage

You gotta admit, it's colorful.When I moved to Richmond, it took a lonnnng time to sell my house in Roanoke, so I was paying a mortgage and rent. Tough. I wish Adzookie had been around then.

File it under “What, are you kidding me?”:

The company has a sweet deal (if you qualify): Let it paint your house as a giant ad, and you get your mortgage paid for. Ugly? Maybe so, but it beats foreclosure. Besides, if you live there you don’t see the paint from the inside. And if you don’t, well….

    I’d hate to have the listing across the street from that house! Not sure that this is the best product to promote on the VAR website.

    I agree with Mike Grandelli. Why would VAR promote such advertising that will upset, not only any realtor trying to sell property near by, but also all the neighbors?

  3. Mike and Mary — we’re certainly not promoting this, but we found it interesting and, frankly, pretty funny. (Seriously, can you imagine something like this actually taking off? :-)

    I think my sarcasm didn’t come through well, and for that I apologize. I’ve added a line that should make it clearer.
