Freddie Mac sets REO record

According to Housing Wire, Freddie Mac set a record in the first quarter of the year for the number of REO homes it sold: about 31,000. It held an additional 65,000 REOs at the end of the quarter, with Fannie Mae holding 153,000 more.

Freddie Mac holds a home an average of 191 days before it’s resold.
