“How are the schools?”

You know you get the question all the time: “It’s a beautiful neighborhood, but how are the schools?” Obviously answering “They’re great!” isn’t going to cut it for a long list of reasons.

That’s why, as a Realtor, you’ll want to grab a copy of Public Schools: A Toolkit for REALTORS. It’s a 135-page, free and downloadable PDF that will help you understand the issues affecting public education, and know more about the public-school system. You’ll do yourself and your clients a solid. (Do people still say that?)

Of course, whenever talking about issues like schools, keep Virginia fair housing law in mind. See “What’s fair is fair” in your copy of the May/June issue of Commonwealth, or visit the Virginia Fair Housing Office.
