Prediction: Market at bottom, recovery begins in 2014

8ball-2 According to this HousingWire story, the U.S. housing market has hit bottom (yay!) but isn’t going to do much for the next couple of years (boo!); it’s going to start recovering in 2014 (yay!), but it’s going to be slow (boo!).

All this comes from one Rick Sharga, an executive vice president with Carrington Mortgage Holdings (and former RealtyTrac SVP), who termed it a “catfish recovery” meaning the market’s going to sit at the bottom for a while.
