Virginia ranks #8 (in a good way) in foreclosures

According to the Mortgage Bankers Association, Virginia has the eighth-lowest percentage of mortgages in foreclosure in the nation. Fewer than two percent of the state’s first-lien mortgages are in the foreclosure process.

Wyoming has the lowest percentage in the country, and Florida, New Jersey, Illinois, and Nevada have the highest. (More than 14 percent of Florida’s mortgages are in foreclosure.)
