The people speak: Stop Fannie and Freddie

An AOL Real Estate story reports that a recent poll found that 72 percent of respondents said that they want Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to stop buying mortgages from banks.

That makes me think of my favorite H.L. Mencken quote: “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”
