Woman loses house to squatters she hired

Short story: Texas woman had to leave and sell her home. Her real estate agent suggested hiring a "staging family" who would live there and hopefully make the home more appealing. (Apparently this is a thing.)

Staging family proceeds to put giant cross on the lawn, park trucks all over, and bring in the extended family. Now they refuse to leave.

Long story: Click here to read it at Consumerist.

Note: An original version of this story referred to the woman’s "Realtor." In fact, we can’t confirm the person was not simply an agent. Also, we referred to the squatters as "rednecks" when in fact they are good ol’ boys. We regret the errors.
