More clarification on IDX and fair housing from NAR

We told you about Clearwater, Fla., Realtor Jeff Launiere’s legal scare when someone tried to hold him liable for listing that came through his IDX feed. All worked out well in the end — no, you’re not responsible for what’s on the IDX feed that appears on your website — but the incident has Realtors talking.

imageClarifying things even further is an audio file — call it a podcast if you like — from NAR general counsel Laurie Janik that explains in detail why you needn’t worry.

You’ll find it on Realtor.org as part of the “IDX and the Fair Housing Act” story. Give it a listen. (Note: Login required; have your Realtor.org login or NRDS ID ready.)
