Become a real estate leader in Virginia — it’s our annual call for volunteers

Once a year you have the opportunity to boost your career while you stand up as a Realtor leader. Now is that time: Come work with VAR as a volunteer leader, and show that you can be more than a Realtor. Bring your expertise to the statewide level, and improve the real estate business for all of Virginia.

This is a chance to advance your career, and to advise, inform, and guide the association staff. Essentially, if you volunteer with VAR, you can help shape Virginia’s entire real estate industry. Seriously.

  • Help determine our legislative agenda on the Public Policy Committee.
  • Help keep members informed on the Information Management Committee.
  • Help set statewide education initiatives on the Professional Development Committee.
  • Help ensure Realtors stay on the right side of the law on the Risk Management Committee.

And it doesn’t take much to make a tremendous impact: Three to five meetings each year, in person or virtually.

That’s all you need to make a difference – not to mention the ability to make long-lasting, solid connections with Realtors from across the state.

So please, take two minutes to fill out or update your Member Profile Expertise at, and tell us which committees you’d like to serve on.

The deadline to put your name in the hat is July 31, 2013.

Stand up, stand out, and help shape the future of Virginia’s real estate industry – from the inside.
