Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past year, you know that Election Day is this Tuesday, November 8th. In Virginia, all voters have a chance to select candidates for the Presidential ticket and congressional representatives. Also, depending on where you live in the Commonwealth, you may get to vote on mayor and council seats, state legislative races, or local ballot referenda.
As a Virginia REALTOR®, you see the impact of policy maker decisions on a daily basis. It is essential that you participate in the process to make sure we have people in office who understand the importance of promoting homeownership and protecting property rights.
All regular voting locations will be open on November 8th from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can find out where to vote and what’s on your ballot at the Virginia Department of Elections website. Remember to bring a valid Photo ID when you go to vote in-person. If you think you won’t be able to make it to the polls next Tuesday, you still have a chance to vote in-person by absentee ballot through Saturday, November 5th.
Thank you for your participation in our electoral process and for showing the strength of the REALTOR® vote.
