Q: What is a blog?
A: Blogs are websites that push the latest articles to the top of page. Blogs can be about anything, but VARbuzz is about Virginia real estate. VARbuzz is written by VAR members, volunteer leaders, staff and guest authors. Watch a three minute video describing blogs.

Q: Why do you offer three subscription options?
A: We offer an e-mail subscription option for those who prefer a once-a-day digest of the full content of all posts made to VARbuzz. We also offer two Really Simple Syndication (RSS) subscription options. The Subscribe Full option lets you add the full content of posts made to this blog to your feed reader. If you choose Subscribe Partial, a short snippet of text will be delivered to your feed reader. After previewing the first few sentences, you can decide whether or not to click through to VARbuzz to read the rest of the post.

Q: What is RSS?
A: It is a time-saving and simple way to keep up with your favorite websites without having to visit them one by one. Watch a four minute video describing RSS.

Q: Why is VAR writing a blog?
A: VARbuzz offers you the opportunity to participate in an inclusive two-way dialog with 38,000 Virginia REALTORS, the VAR staff, leadership and the real estate community on issues, news, and views that matter to you. VAR also hopes to demonstrate for Virginia REALTORS how blogging can be a powerful communication tool that can help you become more profitable.

Q: Can I write for VARbuzz?
A: If you have something relevant to discuss and agree to write in a manner consistent with the terms of use, you’re invited to contribute to VARbuzz. With hundreds of real estate bloggers in Virginia, we expect that there may be more potential authors than we can manage at one time. For this reason, VARbuzz contributors may be limited to one month terms.
