• Congress somewhat reluctantly passed a $700 billion bailout for financial firms, hoping to shore up their books and loosen credit strings. What's your reaction? (Suggested by Bill Burruss.)

  • I have to think about my bottom line, politics aside. This will start lenders lending again, so it's good for Realtors and I support it.
  • Hey, that's what capitalism is about -- you take risks and sometimes you lose. Congress should have let the market be the market.
  • It's those firms' own fault, but their mistakes were going to hurt the rest of us. Congress did the right thing, although I hate to say it.
  • The goal of loosening credit was good, but Congress should have taken equity from those banks, the way the Swedes did in 1993, rather than just giving them the money. Bad move.
